Daily Bible Reading - Psalm 81

Good Morning World!

It is a blessed day in the presence of the Lord Jesus our Saviour.  It can be hard at times, but we must never loose site of what Jesus has done for us, is doing for us, and will do for us.  Keeping on keeping on can be a struggle and a sacrifice, but it is worth it!  Too, often this world and all its pleasures, cares and distractions get us down and side track us.  We must not let that happen!  That is why prayer is so very important.  Prayer keeps us in contact with the one who is truly in control of all.  We don't want to be the ones who don't have control, but in reality we are just a spec in a grand tapestry that the Almighty is weaving.  Wouldn't it be better to be a willing participant than a stray piece of the thread that is cut out because it is much too difficult to work with?  Remember Jesus!

Psalm 81  (A Psalm of Asaph)
Here is another Psalm that has a very prominent theme.  Worship and Praise.  Not just any worship and praise though.  This is very specific, very anointed, very special to God.  This worship is commanded by God and derived from a heart and soul that is thankful for the deliverance that God has wrought in said persons life!  This type of worship is very special and important to God.  This type of worship lifts God up so He can draw all men unto Himself.  Deliverance worship is also one of the most heart felt, and true kinds of worship.

When we are truly thankful for someone saving us, we will do almost anything to repay that person.  Why should it be any different with God?  When Jesus saved us from our wretched, depraved, sin-filled lifestyles, our lives were complete changed and we were given a freedom that no one can describe.  What could be greater?

Yet, after all Jesus has done for us we still have the audacity to fold our arms, and wait for the rapture of the Church.  I have a feeling that we will be waiting a long time too long if we don't get off our proverbial rear-end and start worshiping Jesus like we ought!

If we read the end of the chapter we can find the God found the same attitude the Church faces today!  So, He let His people go, and they followed their hearts, lusts and counsels and ended up getting destroyed by the enemy!  I for one do not want the enemy of my soul winning the battle.  No!  I want my Saviour to get all the glory for everything in my life!

Let's Worship Jesus together, and let this world know what a great Saviour and Deliverer Jesus is!

Yours for Deliverance Worship,
Pastor Fred

Daily Bible Reading & Devotion -- Psalm 30

Good Morning World! I don't know about your wind today, but ours has a feeling of snow. I hope and pray that your weather is good and that no one will be harmed in any storm to come this Christmas Season.

Psalm 30

This morning I would like to talk about the attitude that I felt came across, while reading this conversation between David and God. It wasn't so much what I read and how it made me feel.
We all have moments when we feel invincible. We are in control. Everything is going our way. We are on top of the world. David said it like this, "I shall not be moved." We are so fickle and vain sometimes that when everything is going our way we can no longer see the big picture. We forget from whence we came, and we become emboldened by our good fortune.

David seems to be showing us that we will all have ups and downs in life. There will be times when we feel vulnerable, and times when nothing can move us. The main thing we need to remember and focus on throughout our entire life, and through every circumstance is that we are made to worship Jesus our Lord and Saviour!

Today you may feel like your the main man or woman - worship Jesus anyway!
Tomorrow you may feel like you are at the bottom of the barrel - worship Jesus anyway!

We are His creation, and He will take care of us, so don't fret over the things of today. Rather, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be add unto you!

Your for a day of Worship,
Pastor Fred

Psalm 29

I have studied the "beauty of Holiness" issue a number of times during my time as a Christian and Pastor. There are many different thoughts, and ideas on how it all works, and yet this morning when reading this chapter again a different thought occurred to me.

"What if the beauty part of this holiness issue is a complete transparency between you and Jesus?"

Now that would be beautiful! Imagine a time of worship where you and Jesus have no secrets, no cares, no worries, no problems. There is only trust, faith, fellowship, love and communication. that my friend would be beautiful!

If we would let our inhibition, fears, failures, past, and chains be stripped from us by the Holy Spirit. If we would get over ourselves, and not be concerned about what other people will think of us. If we would just worship Jesus with absolute honesty and transparency. This worship would be a work of beauty in true holiness!

How do we get holiness? First we must realize that we are nothing, and that our righteousness if as filthy rags. Then we must go to the source of all true holiness - Jesus our Lord and Saviour. His Spirit must live inside of us, work through us, and be visible in our actions, words and lifestyle. This is the only way to have any possibility of true holiness.

Mix an experience with the Holy Spirit with true honesty and transparency and you will have a recipe for something of true beauty!

Yours for true beauty and true holiness!

When God Respects You your deliverance is near!

Greetings in Jesus Name!

The following is a message that I prepared for Sunday Morning November 5, 2006. The outline is rather short, and contains a couple word studies, however, I trust you will also get the message.

WHEN GOD RESPECTS YOU

Exodus 2:23-25

And it came to pass in the course of those many days, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. (24) And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. (25) And God saw the children of Israel, and God took knowledge of them.

WORD STUDY:

In the King James Version of the Bible the phrase "and God took knowledge of them" reads "and God had respect unto them."

The words respect or knowledge are a hebrew word (yawdah) which means: to know. It means - "to perceive and see, find out and discern; to consider". It's Greek counter part (ginosko): to know means - "to be taking in knowledge, to come to know, understand, or to understand completely".

These words are often used in the sense of approving; and "because God knew" - had respect for and approved of, them, therefore He was determined to deliever them.

or as another comentary put it:

"God heard their crying, and remembered His covenant with the fathers: "and God saw the Children of Israel, and God noticed them." God's notice had all the energy of LOVE and PITY. He accepted them!

In Exodus 3:7,8 God investigated the cry He heard, and when He heard, saw, understood, and remembered He planned the best course of action to deliever.

One scripture tells us that God is looking for ways to bless us! He is searching out methods, plans which will benefit His people!

--> Sometimes this means we have to go through some nasty stuffy.

--> In this nasty stuff we are drawn to prayer.

--> When our cry reaches God, He begins to investigate!

--> When He understands and knows everything about our situation He acts accordingly!

Have you ever heard the statement, "I appreciate your situation...." That is kind of what God is saying to us. "I have heard what you are saying, praying and crying, and I appreciate what you are going through, now this is what I'm going to do about it!"

Let's look at a few other situations in which a cry came up before God.

-- Abel's Blood cried unto God for vengeance. God investigated and took appropriate action.

-- David made a regular practice of crying to God. Psalms 18:6

-- The wicked deeds and spilled blood of Sodom and Gomorrah cried unto God for justice, and He came down and investigated. Genesis 18:21; 19:13

-- Cornelius's Prayer built a memorial to God! Acts 10

Summary

When God has respect to you he investigates your need, sees what you are going through, understands how you feel, remembers the promise He gave you and plots the best possible deliverance for your situation!

It may take some time, but He'll be right on time. So, don't delay make your request known to God!

Philippians 4:6

Let God know what you are going through, how you feel, and be thankful for what He has done, is doing and will do!

God bless you!
