Daily Bible Reading - Psalm 83

Good Morning World!

My God can do anything!  It's amazing what can happen when we truly put our lives in the Master's hands.  God is so Good!

This chapter this morning really is special, because it fits in with our revival services theme, "My God Can Do Any Thing!"  When God lays something on a heart it is amazing how He will bring things into the light to help you understand what He really wants.

Psalm 83  (This seems to be the last Psalm by Asaph, but he certainly left one of the best for last.)

This is a call from the people of God to God.  This is a call for action, for revival and vengeance.  Why?  Why, should the people of God feel the need to be so aggressive?  War.  The battle for their families, worship, land, homes and churches is laying claim to too many lives.  The people of God are calling for retribution on those who have destroyed and schemed against them.

Even though this is a very old scripture about a people who had many war problems the same thing still happens everyday around the world.  It happens, but most will never notice.  People don't recognize the fact that the world of sin is apart of many if not most congregations around the globe.  The people of God are being over run by lust, pleasure, greed and hate.  The Church is dying a slow painful death, and we must wake up before it is too late to rescue.

It's like never going to the doctor when you know your sick, but your just don't want to find out what the problem is.  Finally, you go because you're coughing up blood or you can't walk, and the doctor says, "If I had seen you 3 months ago we could have saved you.  Now it is too late and you only have a couple months to live!"  Now how do you feel?  Like a complete idiot for hiding behind your fear!  You could have lived, but now you are a walking corps.

We the Church, the people of God, but cry out to Him with our whole heart, and declare that we are not going to surrender, and we are going to war through prayer, fasting, and intersession.  As verses 16-18 say: "Fill their face with shame; that they may seek your name, O Lord. Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea let them be put to shame, and perish: that men may know that you, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."

We must not let the subtle wickedness of this world and age lull us to sleep and our doom.  We must stand up and fight with the Word of God and prayer!  No, this is not a call to arms and physical punishment.  Yes, this is a call to global awakening and revival of the soul and spirit.  Too long have we allowed the lust of our flesh dictate our actions.  We must no longer follow our lust, but we must follow the Spirit of the most High God, Jesus Christ our Saviour!  We must let the whole world know that Jesus is the Lord, and His sacrifice will save and deliver all from the pains of sin, death, addiction, sickness and disease.

Rebuke the Distraction!

Greetings in Jesus' Name!

It's been awhile, and much has happened since our last conversation. I feel very strongly that I have a word from God for someone.

I was just reading Psalm 5 as part of my daily Bible reading. As my habit has become I write notes on every chapter I read. Helps me remember what I read, and what message the Lord gave me as I read a particular chapter.

Tonight as I read a very strong impression of overcoming distraction was placed upon me. For, me this is a definite word, and I will claim it, receive it and live it in Jesus' Name!

However, I was directed to write this little note to help someone. Your life has been busy. Your job is overtaking you. You haven't had time to talk to Jesus. You feel like you are overcome by your present circumstance!

Rebuke your distraction in Jesus' Name! Find you prayer closet. Get to the prayer room at the House of God. Lock yourself in your room. Name you distractions, and rebuke them in Jesus' Name! Read Psalm 5, and put your trust in Jesus! Remember you love for the Name of God-Jesus! Remember that there is nothing as important as living in the righteousness of God, and get the victory over you circumstance! You may feel defeated, but Jesus is on your side! The enemy may be scheming against you, but his plans will fall to pieces! Trust, Live and Love Jesus again! You will find that your God will lead you through!

Rebuke the Distraction, Put your trust in Jesus and leave the rest up to God!

Using the Enemy's Weapons against them!

Did you know that the military strategy of using an enemy's weapon, strategy, offensive and/or attack against them was instituted by divine will? Yes, God was the first to use this kind of a strategy! Let me describe the story.

Adam and Eve where created by God as told in Genesis chapters one and two. Each day God would come down off His throne in Glory and visit with His creation. A relationship grew, and it seems that God chose the cool of the day for His visits.

In the mean time, Lucifer, who had been cast out of heaven, was planning an attack so daring it required his own personal touch, and not that of a lowly imp. He made his way into the garden enough times that, at least to Eve, he seemed to be familiar. When the timing was right, and Eve was passing near the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he tempted, beguiled and deceived her. She ate the forbidden fruit, and took a portion for Adam, whom she convinced to eat too.

There eyes where now opened to a whole new world of possibilities: Good versus Evil! Not only this, but they had sinned against God disobeying His one and only "thou shalt not."

Lucifer thought he had won, and for many centuries it seemed he had, but God told him, Adam and Eve that He would take this seemingly brilliant victory, and turn it against Lucifer. God was going to use the very thing, Adam and Eve, that Lucifer was using to get back at God, to redeem, save and bring humanity back into a divine relationship with Himself!

Gen 3:15 And there will be war between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed: by him will your head be crushed and by you his foot will be wounded

Sometimes you may feel like satan has won a victory over you, however, don't dispare God is still in control, and through Jesus Christ will turn that victory into a defeat! We are more that conquerors through Jesus Christ who loves us! Jesus is on your side so who possibly can be against you and win!
